does anyone know the trick to unlock the door? I have a generic key that I use on our prostar daycab fleet but today I am using an older prostar.
A few years ago I was locked out in CA and was taught a trick to unlock the door.
My generic key won't u lock the door. Thanks In advance

I remember seeing a thread about this ages ago when I got locked out of my Columbia...

If you're slipseating, I've got nothing for you. If that's yours to use, then I might suggest a duct tape pouch strategically applied somewhere on the frame. :D

I carry a lock pick set with me every day. Just part of my EDC.

Pretty easy. Some locks can be tough. I can get in my freightliner in about ten seconds.

If you have the vin number and a dealer is near, you can have a key made...

My company has a key hidden in an accessible place on the truck. If one of the other drivers has jacked the key, then we can call dispatch and they'll find out what other drivers are close by and can come unlock it (all trucks use the same key in our fleet).

That said, if the key is not in my hand when I step out of the truck, I have a window open. I have never locked myself out.
