The belt is just long enough to reach the clasp after threading it through, If it is loose, you can lower the seat to tighten it up. The door will open just a little, but you can't do much with the opening, can't reach anything, the handle is too far forward to reach the belt.
You pull the belt clear out and thread it through the handle and over the seat to latch it.

My seatbelt has a little yellow thing that will flip to pinch the seatbelt so it doesn't move. I believe its main purpose is to give you a little extra slack when going down the road--some people don't like the seatbelt to be snug against them.

It's hard to find a good, strong magnet you'd trust to keep your key secure, so take my advice; go on eBay and search for "HDD magnets". Hard drive magnets are very strong. The key itself isn't magnetic, but the HDD magnets will hold the key to the frame very easily.

Thanks 25(2)+2! I feel really stupid now, I had totally forgotten that you can move the seats up and down in the trucks.

I don't bother with the seat belt, I sleep with a Ka-Bar, anyone puts part of their body in my truck while I'm in it and I'll cut it off.
