i once had a friend go to work there when he was dissatisfied with the employer we were working at. he said it was even a bigger mistake to go to TRL. he had to pay for load locks, load bars, straps, etc, etc. maybe things are different now though, but this is what i remembered him telling me.

Even if he did, those items would be tax deductable anyway. Just like shoes gloves etc.. for work are. I had to get a PO# or authorization to buy them or was not reimbursed.

I Always carried my own straps and load bars when I drove 4 USX and used them for emergencys or when I did live unloads. I would use the company ones for dropping trailers and either replace at the terminal when I got by one, or call in for a PO# to breakdown and pick up when I did a fuel stop.

Some companys have you sign for them like you do chains and if not returned they charge you for them at truck stop rates even though they buy them by the pallet at half the cost. How many times have people seen drivers selling their company load bars or straps at truck stops? No wonder they make drivers sign for them.
