Looking at going with Averitt Express

    I have been approved for three different carriers one of them is Averitt Express. Can somebody give me the straight up on them?

    Not sure if true but last I read they make you wear their uniform whenever you’re in the drivers seat and go into customers.

    I’ve been with Averitt for twelve years now. I am currently a city driver but I started out in truckload and was dedicated for a while. You would be based out of the Asheville service center and you park your truck at the service center when your home.
    We do wear uniforms and you purchase your first set, but every year you get a $150.00 uniform allowance.
    I am not sure what starting pay is now or how many miles drivers are currently getting. I do know they need drivers.

    Read some of the threads found in the Averitt sub forum. Myself and many others have answered quite a few questions about Averitt. If you have more specific questions then I will gladly answer them. But Averitt is like any other company... Good points and bad. You will need to figure out what your needs/wants are then go from there.

    Since you posted about Averitt, then there is obviously an interest, but I am not a recruiter... But I will answer your questions as best I can...

    I hear they are pushing the sleep apnea deal on your physicals that's not required are they doing that?
    I'm not overweight and don't have a problem but I would like an answer

    I took a sleep apnea test with Averitt. I was over weight but I don’t have sleep apnea. Averitt paid for my test. But this was over eight years ago so I’m not sure how it works now .
