I'm currently working for a big company that has a flatbed division dedicated to one shipper. Of course, most flatbedders I've encountered don't call what I do as true flatbed work. I drive with a conestoga. My dispatcher always keeps me away from the loads that need tarped as I'm the only woman and the shortest one on the team.

I digress. I'm curious about other companies that are out there. Have any of you heard good things or anything I shouldn't touch with a 10ft pole?? I was looking at P&S Trans until I found some very negative reviews. While I understand some people might be bitter, but most I read were about the trucks breaking down a lot. No thanks. My truck - knock on wood - hasn't had any major issues since I've had it.

At the moment I get .42 cpm, $30 drop pay, and run at least 3200 miles a week (depending on the shipper). Should I stick with what I've got or look for greener pastures??

I am not positive if the UPS flatbed drivers are Teamsters, just like the guys driving the white Volvos that say UPS on them.

    Really?

That’s certainly a new one on me. I’ve never seen a UPS flatbed.

I went to the terminal they had near Nashville and interviewed. They offered me a job, but I changed my mind and didn't take it.
