Boyd is under the same umbrella with three other companies. Witch makes them the largest flatbed group in the industry.

Boyd is under the umbrella of daeske, which is more than 3 companies, but yes of your going that route then daeske is tyre largest open deck company

Sounds like you have a good deal now. Pay per mile could be better but a consistent 3200 miles is very good in my opinion. Best wishes!

Here lately, getting over 3000 miles is becoming less consistent. The last eight days on my logs show 2600. The week before was 1700. And I have not been home in over a month.

Has anyone heard anything about ATS?? Their website tells very little.

    Truckermania Thanks this.

My buddy Chad drove for them for about 4years before he took a leave of absence to address health concerns. He consistently made 2500 or more per week. He was on the flatbed side in tier 3 oversized loads before he took off. I'm told the key to the open deck side at ats, is to always push towards the higher tiers to get more mileage pay

Oversized seemed the way to go for the big bucks. Wish I had experience :/

Ats is one of the few that will take student drivers. My company as well, several of the daeske companies will too

Honestly i believe if you're running open deck, you should be looking for percentage rather than mileage

They require at least 8 months and only if that 8 months is with a single company. Csa can't be higher than 15 in the categories that matter.

I don't know very much about the company driver side. I think the pay is around .47cpm for legal loads.

Start as a class 4 and you can haul od freight up to 10' wide. 5 of those gets you to class 3 and I think it's up to 12' wide. 5 class 3 loads over 10' gets you to class 2 and so on. Class 1a is the highest class on the specialized side and that's wind blades. 2 axle wind blades.

All company trucks have apu's and inverters. Mostly Coronado's with some 579's thrown in. A few 780's as well.
