Looking for advice to go heavy haul....

    Just be advised, I hope you aren't squeamish. Towing outfits get sent to some gory scenes, and you're the only guy around that can do it. I'm just saying, it might not be all "4 chains",,,

    I would go by the wages in your area, not by what I read on here.
    That said, I would go check out the other job anyway, it may or may not be better.
    I would sure try to get a feel on how busy he could keep you, lots of wrecker companies get into lowboys to compliment the wreckers, but many of them do not keep the lowboys very busy.

    ...why would the cab of a truck dedicated to hauling fuel smell like cigarette smoke???:eek:

    You can smoke in a fuel tanker.

    Depending on company rules.
    I have a zero smoking policy in all trucks.
    But not a problem since none smoke at all.

    Yep company policy sets the rules, I smoked all my life, and turned down a job or two for that reason.
