Hi Guys, I'm CDL A holder and I have a 3 months experience with a big company,But I have a accident and the company put it as a preventable. So I wanted to know what are my chance to drive again. Also am looking for a company around Columbus, Ohio that will give me a chance. I'm willing to get a weekly home or bi-weekly. Local , dedicated or Regional.

You are probably resigned to a second chance company such as a TransAm, PTL, Werner or Swift. Not the end of the world. I had incidences in the beginning, nothing that involved death, injuries or towaways (nurse, hearse, or a hook). If none of those were involved, You are still in the game! It took me awhile to watch my mirrors instinctively and yeah, I knicked up some trailers along the way. GOAL as often as it takes. If you don't hit anything, you get to drive another day! Best of luck, Buckeye!!
Puppage and ohiobuckeyes90 Thank this. -
One accident being brand new, should have no problem with another big company. If they didn’t fire you, why leave???

They fired me after the accident because there was 1injury.

The state trooper told me it was not my fault no ticket or citation

Did the company send you for a drug test?

Op you need a smaller local company. Probly a company who owns trucks more so than a trucking company. A company who asks at fault or not at fault. All the bigger company’s will as preventable or not preventable.
You need a equipment rental place, construction, septic, farm, distribution.
You were not at fault, that means something. Don’t give up.ohiobuckeyes90 Thanks this.
