I have applied to every otr trucking company I thought I had any chance with, even the bottom of the barrel. Western Express said I wasn't in their hiring area. My Cdl is in WA state, address near Seattle.
I started trucking in 2012, trained through Prime. I ended driving in February 2021, and have 6.5-7 years experience. I've hauled reefer, dry van and tanker.
I can think of 4 reasons I'm not being hired:
    1. The area my cdl is in.
    2. I got into an accident before I left in February 2021. It wasn't serious. I wasn't even cited. The lady might have claimed she was injured as an insurance scam. Info I got from insurance investigator.
    3. Spotty employment record. If I can get back into trucking, I'll stay employed. Learned my lesson on this one.
    4. Maybe companies are pickier currently.

I already have another post on this forum, where guys were trying to help me, but no luck.

So, I thought I'd post here. Maybe someone who needs a driver is interested. I would just need to get a new med card.
    Ok, I've plead my case.
    Steve

Forgot to say, I have only one ticket. A warning for forgetting to turn on marker lights. And only one real accident. The one right before I left.

Perhaps you can apply to TransAm Trucking out of Olathe KS.

Good luck to you! God bless you and your family!

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.

Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, every night, all year round.

The market is indeed different. You left at a time where there were more loads than trucks with rates at all-time highs and are attempting to return at a time when there are more trucks than loads available and rates are at all-time lows (adjusted for inflation).
