Does anybody know of any other companies besides Davis express, Knight, or Roehl that hire part-time in Florida, I worked for Davis express part time, (7 on, 7 off). It was a pretty good deal, plenty of miles and good money, however, you are not allowed to disagree with the powers that be. This is grounds for threats of termination..I have never had as many threats with termination as I experienced with them. I work hard, Take every and any load that I am dispatched on and understand that I am there to make them money. Also have been told by many dispatchers and driver managers that I wish all my drivers were like you, so I just don't get the threat deal when you do everything your asked to do. Just to be fair these threats came from 1 person in the safety dept. everyone else seemed ok and professional. That said, does anybody have any knowledge of any other companies that do the 1 week on, 1 week off deal or 2 weeks on 1 week off? Roehl says I'm out of there hiring area, and Knight has so many mixed reviews that I'm kinda leery about applying. Any input is greatly appreciated, I live in west central Florida, just north of Tampa. I have flatbed, reefer, dryvan and tanker experience, I'm not picky, just enjoy the time off after years on the road. If you work for a good company that you like, that has part time drivers please let me know. Thanks for any input.
Plenty of recording devices out there. Record it and present to powers that be that your tired of being threatened but like working for them and see if they know that person treating ya'll that way. If that goes no where then up to you where you take it from there. Sorry to hear about that and hope all works out for ya.
