You'll have to go about this in a different manner. You can't solicit info for payment. (on this site) Seek out drivers in person, a truck stop is great to find them. Try not to bother them if they are fueling. Plan on spending some time doing this. Luck to ya'

Not sure, none of them told me outright. It has been frustrating. It is likely because of either because of a stain I have on my DOT physical long form, or my work history verification. I was told by one of them that my 1099s I used to verify my work history had to have a certain level of earnings or they wouldn't be adequate by DOTs employment history verification standards, or something along those lines. I don't believe mine reached the requirement (it was part time and those forms don't include the cash tips, which made up a large chunk of my income). Either way, once I start applying again after getting my CDL, I am probably just going to say I've been unemployed.

Might be time to pull up to a truck stop with a clipboard then, lolbullhaulerswife Thanks this.

I think it's the "stain" on your DOT physical. Are you on medications or what is the stain?
Plenty of drivers with a similar work history are hired.tscottme and firemedic2816 Thank this. -
To elaborate, I was given a 1 year certification due to a suicide attempt and depression diagnosis a few years ago. Me and my medical examiner went over it, issue has been resolved and there's no long form limitations or ongoing treatment. I was told that the the motor carrier CDL training programs are more risk adverse due to how much they are investing into you, so I figure I should get my CDL myself and apply as a CDL holder.

I know a scam when I smell one, and unfortunately there are far too many truckers naive enough to fall for this guy's scam-bait.
"Case manager"? What is he, in prison???? Even his command of the language is suspect; probably a scammer in Africa or Bangladesh.A Bug and firemedic2816 Thank this. -
@Ridgeline can address that. I'd have to speculate and that won't help you.Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this.

It is a program for assistance through a workforce office (technically they are a "Workforce Development Specialist")

I didn't pick up overseas scammer vibes from the OP, but offering CashApp to answer Q's did seem suspicious. OP says 'case mgr' is related to what sounds like WIOA grant. Nobody who is suspicious should disclose personal info, but the OP sounds reasonable to me. I have been accused of seeing foreigners behind every tree and would say so, if I thought it was true.THISGUYTRUCKS and Chinatown Thank this.

The driver shortage exists in the minds of freight brokers and trucking companies that desire to have 50 million starving drivers willing to work for half of the current pay.Mega Express, TurkeyCreekJackJohnson, Numb and 1 other person Thank this.
