Anyone know of any good companies to lease onto?

I haul dry van for the most part willing to learn flatbed if need be. I live in South Texas, currently still have a truck payment and am currently running for a small company that "pays" 88%. However when I say pays I really mean like they have financial problems with a past company they hauled for and can no longer afford me.

I'm not afraid to stay out, but would still like to be able to take some time off at times.

I have been doing a lot of research, but so far every prospect I look up everyone seems to be unhappy with their company. It's at the point where I can't tell if it's just someone who didn't like something and it's an isolated incident or if the company is actually like that. I have even debated about going to a mileage based company as the spot market is crap right now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thank you, I'll look into Mercer and see what they have to offer.

What eld do they use? And they pay your plates and ifta? At least that's what I gather. What type of trailers do they use and do I need to bring my own or do they have company trailers?
