Hello, I'm writing this post so i could see if there are any schools near me [Erie, Pa] that offer free CDL-A training with a sign on for 8-12months. I did some research and the most decent one i could find was CR England that would take me into Indiana for a months training-program. I'm 25-yrs old with a clean record that's searching for a school/program that offers to pay for my training since i don't have the money to put down towards the payment.

    * Looking for a company paid CDL training program near Erie,Pa.

CR England has a bad rap around here, though i don't know anything about them personally so I can't really say.

If you are willing to travel, roehl or Millis would be a great way to go. Roehl even pays $500 per week during training. Both companies have good equipment and lots of freight through your area.

Roehl Transport has one in Bensalem,PA and this is the only company that pays the student while attending the school $500.00 weekly. Meals and lodging provided. Also a free hair follicle drug test.

If Roehl Transport doesn't work out, consider attending school in another state. The companies will provide transportation to get there plus meals and lodging while attending the school.
    Contract Freighters Inc. (www.cfidrive.com)
    Jim Palmer Trucking
    Wil-Trans
    Millis Transfer (need $500.00)
    Carter Express
    Veriha Trucking
    TMC
    Maverick Transportation
    Celadon
    O&S Trucking

I just filled out an application for Roehl, lets see what happens next. In the meantime any good practice tests that are helpful? I've been using DMV Genie and so far its been great for me!
