I always thought they were out of Aurora Illinois and that was what the AR stood for.

Uh-oh. Whenever these trucking companies are acquired by “equity”,”capital” or “asset management” firms, sometimes said companies go down the toilet.
    (Falcon Transport anyone)

Yes true but I have seen the other way around also , company gets aquired by a bigger money management firm and things improved so you never really know for sure.

    Last owner similar.

    Try reading news release.

Looking to spend TENS of millions as a start. Which won’t cover plans outlined. This is very big.

    Significant expansion.

A&R has always been biggest in its line.

Has needed a shot in the arm. This is much more than that.

Well recent history has shown otherwise. There’s been a few companies that have been acquired by these so called management firms but have ended up being consigned to the history books. Falcon Transport was one of the latest victims. Celadon was pretty d**n close,NEMF just had its coffin sealed up about a month ago. Any time you hear about firms like these buying these companies it’s a case of caveat emptor-literally!

Makes me think of the so-called “merger of equals” between Daimler Benz and Chrysler 20 years ago. After the “raping and pillaging” of the company was done Chrysler was bought by Cerberus Capital Management.
When you have a company named after the three headed dog that guards the entrance of HE double hockey sticks, you know the outcome doesn’t bode well..
