I’ve applied to both companies to haul fuel. I’m not sure which one is better to work for as far as company culture, pay and benefits. Anyone here have experience with either or both?

The competition for fuel-hauling jobs with private fleets can be rather fierce.
Depending on the location in question, and other factors -- you may well be competing against other drivers who already have several years of fuel hauling experience -- along with flawless safety records.
If your results are later less than satisfactory -- DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED.
Also -- my latest gig (fuel) waited 3 MONTHS after I submitted my complete application -- to get back in touch with me.
For whatever reason(s) -- sometimes....carriers can take their sweet time (and then some) to respond to you.
Just because a carrier hasn't called you in a week or two -- doesn't necessarily mean you've been culled.
Going forward -- do keep the above in mind!
Best of luck to you.

I have met cops that should be fed to the gators.....
My point is -- I try not to pre-judge all in that profession, just by one bad experience.
Just like I would not want anyone to pre-judge me -- simply because another trucker somewhere else may have mistreated them.
