I’ll be crossing the I-75 Mackinac bridge on Sunday with a hazmat load, headed northbound. Has anyone here had to call for the escort across the bridge? The lady I spoke to on the phone said to just call when I get to the bridge, but I notice the bridge authority is on the north shore. When do y’all normally call when crossing from the south?
Thanks in advance!

I am not sure how it works with Hazmat, but an escort truck is always there on stand by
Life on Wheels Thanks this. -
There is a nice pull off and well placed signage for trucks to stop at just before the bridge. Just pull over where indicated and call. The escort vehicle will be sent over from the north side.

Also, right where you pull off there should still be a little phone booth, or pole with a phone on it, just pick it up.
ZVar and Life on Wheels Thank this.
