True if a state of emergency is declared due to winter and do not have them they can deny you entry into the state.

    Bumper and sc00ter Thank this.

I live in Georgia and he is dead serious. If any type of winter weather is forecast if you don't have tire chains they legally stop you at the state line. It passed like 2 years ago after the ice storms.

    mattbh23 and sc00ter Thank this.

I dont carry them at all. But I dont leave the Calif, Nevada, Arizona area during the winter. Chaining up trucks and trailers is for the younger crowd.

mattbh23, Lowlite and tow614 Thank this.

I'm not a spring chicken. Almost 51. I chained up about 4 times last year.

    sc00ter Thanks this.

I hear ya. At 64 I am not ever chaining again. I wont be giving myself a heart attack dragging chains around in 20 degree weather. My dispatcher and office thoroughly understand this and agree.

    Xeres63 Thanks this.
