Don’t know about the OTR stuff…haven’t seen that but they did stupidly buy 3 failing LTL companies 2-3 years ago an if they assumed all that debt then good lord no wonder Magnum is hurting. Plus hiring drivers that wanna go home every 2 weeks hasn’t helped. Plus they’ve lowered pay, are considering going back to the old PTO pay system instead of the flat rate, an are even thinking of attacking the bonus system and it’s been changed over 5 times since I’ve been here. Hell trumps BBB should have helped them but nope the drivers are suffering and management/upper executives are just turning the other cheek not realizing if the good money making drivers go magnum is left with Werner/Pam level truckers…..so more accidents and less working

I've been out for 2.5 years. Am I likely to get a trainer?

I retired in 2023. If I even mention the word going back to work my wife gives me The Look. She took me out for a special dinner on the day I turned in my CDL. Stick a fork in us buddy, we are done.Still undecided, Speedy356, hotrod1653 and 4 others Thank this.

I’ve reminisced about working at Magnum probably once a week since I left there in 2021. Drove there for five years. honestly one of the highlights of my life. Family situation changed, so it was no longer a fit for me. Magnum trucks always catch my attention. to count my bad days while I worked there I wouldn’t even need all the fingers on one hand. that OTR lifestyle is addicting! it makes me sad to come here and see how much has changed and how it’s affecting the drivers there.
right now I’m at my second company I’ve drove for since I left Magnum. From my little experience, I’d have to say everyone is trying to adapt to changing conditions. Don’t let the green grass fool ya! Every company needs drivers and they’re doing their best to keep drivers around because without us they’re nothing!ncmickey, hotrod1653, TB John and 3 others Thank this. -
great to see you posting, dude!! I’ve been gone 8 1/2 years from Magnum but I also remember fondly of those days…. I remember grabbing a meal with you and pig bacon in Fargo!
