    Backyard BBQ Pit in Durham.
It's right on your way between Concord and Goldsboro.
Take I-85 north to I-40 east
Take exit 278 (nc55) and turn right. It's down a mile or two on the right. There is a dirt lot just past it you should be able to park in. There is also a shoulder to park on behind the Firestone tire across the street.
    Pigbacon stopped here before.

The line is out the door at lunch time...

The place isn't fancy... But the BBQ is really good... And the Mac and cheese and collard greens will make you slap yo mamma!!

Try the Mustard Seed Travel Plaza (2320 136th Ave E, Sumner, WA 98390) or Ernie's (22018 84th Ave S, Kent, WA 98032). Bring cash, they both charge for parking. There is also rest area south of Kent on I-5 across from the scales.

I don't know if the route to your Goldsboro pick goes by Wilburs BBQ on hwy 70 or not, but if it does I'd reccomend stopping. It's authentic eastern NC style pork.

Left my home last Thursday and at the end of yesterday (7 full days) had 3219 paid miles PLUS 1 layover day. I can live with that! Hope it keeps up!

As for BBQ, had a 1300 app't at Mission, so couldn't stop by Backyard on the way here, but I'm holding off on eating with hopes of stopping by there on the way out...;) Not sure I can park near Wilbur's.

    Pigbacon Thanks this.
