I have been doing those alot lately almost full time working 60 to 70 hrs a week . And making almost same or more some weeks as i would make running my own truck in this dump of a market .best part is the respect you get from these restaurants and customers + very low overhead and no harassment from dot and no broker games .

Funny those guys always asked me how they could be an OO when I used them. Ha Ha Guess it really depends on the area you live in to make it worth while. In my area you would starve to death trying that. I prob one of the main customers for food delivery here in my little town. I try to tip good since I know a lot of people are hurting when I can. I dont mind paying someone else to help them out when I am doing good and sitting at home.

Everyone thinks truckers make big money . I tell the they use to when diesel was under 1$/gal and loads were 2$/mile .I been bringing home 8k to 10k with trucking during these dump times. But that was happening with me staying over the road for 5 to 6 days a week .i am pulling the same with almost same hours and coming home for fresh lunch and dinner everyday and sleeping in my own bed

You have 0 idea how to run a company if this is the case. I can still turn out 4,000 in profit in 7 days. I have done 6000 in profit in 9 days 2 months ago. (I dont work much).

How even with todays market lets say $2.30 a mile if you run 3,000 miles a week thats $6900 for the week. Lets say truck gets 6 MPG diesel is $3.80 a gallon thats $1850 in diesel lets say put back $1,000 for maint $20 bucks for insurance $50 for extra BS like 2290 and those little .01 cpm things. You still take home about 4k...

He is a dreamer. Most likely no CDL or he smoked a bit of the wacky weed and got caught dirty on a pee test.

I am going with failed pee test or failed medical. No sane person goes from 5K a week, to saying $500 a week is better than trucking.

I think he runs his own authority as well but not 100 percent sure. I know in my area it would be a 200 dollar week doing that at most. But I live in a small town.
