This is my first experience with Tankers. I did flatbed, Boat Hauling, Line Haul(for a couple of weeks) and now Tankers.
The hiring process was very quick and easy. I had a great referral so that helped the process. Last Sunday I had my interview and road test. My first day is tomorrow.
I will try to keep a very detailed description of my training and doing the job. I will be with another driver for four to six weeks. I will be staying at a Hotel during the week, home nightly, and then home on the weekends. I am pleased with the amount of training that I am going to receive.

In Ohio, Mansfield purchased Earhart. It is basically the same as before the purchase. I have no idea how they run things in Florida. -
Today we delivered 4 loads to 4 different customers.
We delivered a total of 24,500 gallons of fuel. 11,500 was diesel.
Delivered to two Murphy gas stations,
Air gas and the Dayton municipal bus garage.
Compared to flat bedding this is very easy work. You just have to take your time and make sure everything is correct or you will have a very expensive mess to clean up.
Today took 10.5 hrs with no breaks. So far I like it.rabbiporkchop, scythe08, Suspect Zero and 2 others Thank this. -
We did 3 loads today. The first picked up in Dayton Ohio and delivered in London Ohio. 7500 gallons of Diesel to a trucking company. 2nd load was picked up in Columbus Ohio and delivered in Columbus to a crane company. 7500 gallons of diesel. The 3rd and last load picked up in Columbus and delivered to a gravel pit just south of Columbus. 7500 gallons of red dye diesel. All three of the loads had to be pumped in as they were above ground tanks. We then drove 2 hrs back to Covington Ohio. Total time 10.25 hrs.
So far there has bee no wait between loads and wait time at the racks has been minimal. We eat on the go so we basically have not stopped except to load or unload.motocross25 Thanks this.
