My last 5 years OTR was with May Trucking out of Idaho.
Started with a Freight Shaker, then they got in a spat with them and bought a fleet of Petes.
Then they sold them to us after they hit 200k miles, so as nothing was wrong with them.
Only truck I would ever drive now.
The safety officer in their Oregon yard was a richard, but there is always one bad apple in the bushel.

When I drove for them many years ago they got into a "spat" with Pete and switched to Freightshakers. They refuse to accept the fact that you can't keep the truck turned down to choking speed and expect it not to screw with all the pollution control crap on them. Pete quit warranting the def components and other pollution control stuff because of it and told May they needed to turn up the trucks. May didn't want to hear it so... That's what I heard through the grapevine anyway. Whether that's completely accurate, or not, I have no idea but sounds pretty plausible to me.
