BigHomie have you worked in foodservice before? And as for for Saia and those LTL companies yes the city drivers touch and unload freight all day long. Those companies start you out around ,18 or 19 an hour..bumping docks all day, unloading with pallet jack. Off every weekend. But on the linehaul side you pull doubles and move the freight between terminals, and yes you might drive all night, no unloading.

yeah u do drive for at most 4 1/2 or 5 hours. But once u get to the terminal u have to work the dock anywhere between 3-4 depending on how many hours u have available. Yes I have worked for food service. I use to work beer, chips, and bread

18-19 is the low paying companies but the good ones start u off at 21 and up. And in most LTL companies u top out pay in 3 years.

I think anybody can do foodservice it will definitely keep you in shape..I see old guys all the time. Of course liftgates make it alot easier for the older guys.
