There is a serious lack of translation between the "service writer" and the mechanic. They don't want to listen to you because you are just another '"truck driver"....

    Good luck :)

Just means your impact gun is weak. That's only a half inch bolt, even if it's rusted up inside the block a decent 1/2 drive impact should have enough force to break it. But be grateful your impact is weak, now you can heat the bolt and get it out instead of needing to drill out a broken one. Impact guns have their place and make some jobs much faster, but a bolt going into cast iron isn't that place. If you are the kind of guy that always gets out the impacts, just make sure it isn't strong enough to break the bolt unless you want it to break.

That's insane. I just did a pm on my truck and it was under 150 bucks for oil, filters, and 2 tubes of grease. Took about 45 minutes, including clean up time.

It was loves we tried breaker bar with the truck in the air. 2 of us pushing nothing. We couldn't really heat is where the bottom bolt is way to many lines in that area. Everything also covered in oil from my oil leak. The other 2 came out fine. This is the bottom bolt. We ended up putting a bolt with a nut in place as they didn't have anything to tap it. I'm sure glad everyone sucked up those cheap double brokered skid steer loads out of Sanford, NC. I might actually have a chance of landing a decent load for Monday. Hopefully they post about 15 more of those to really increase my chances...:biggrin_25524:

Earlier this week i turned down a load out of florida paying 2.53 to the Seattle area. The freight coming back is just to cheap to go out there for under 3 a mile.

Highway Sailor and HalpinUout Thank this.
