I've heard heat pumps don't work well in very cold weather. How's it working out for you? I keep going back and forth between a used APU or generator setup. Lots to consider.

 

I haven't used it in very cold weather yet.

But there's always the option of purchasing a couple of 1200 Watt ceramic space heaters at a cost of $70, and using those with the generator when the heat pump won't cut it.

 

To the best of my knowledge the Air Force is not providing assets. However over 5,000 Army Engineers are going to the border to build it up and the DHS has stated other boarder crossings are going to be beefed up. I also understand some army helicopters will be used to watch too.

 

That's true. That might cause a significant increase in burnt gasoline since the generator will be working significantly harder though. Still cheaper than idling!
