Hello all, 1 year in my trucking career currently at melton doing flatbed. Turns out I’m not cut out for this cold weather and tbh tarping these loads is a pain in the ### too.
Looking to get into dryvan or reffer what ever pays better

can anyone reccomend a good job for me. I’m at almost 1 year and can wait the year out if I have to. But this winter is killing me.

mgl gave me a call out of Chicago pretty sure they are a junk company anyone have exp there

I have 10 months otr exp
    I’m from Tampa Florida
I have tanker endorsement and am willing to get hazmat if needed.
    I also have a 50lbs dog
    Hometime isn’t a major concern
Mainly just money while I dog out my second year.
    Thanks :)

He's our resident expert here for finding jobs that may fit your particular situation.

Don't blame you on the Melton/tarping/winter deal either, if you're from Florida, it's certainly a hard adjustment.

Haha thanks man. Well tbh the tarping in the summer wasn’t great either Lol climbing up on that load freaks me out. I miss bumping a dock and taking a nap lol. I did dry van for 6 months before melton and I liked it better for sure. Melton is great though and every check is 900-1300 so it wasn’t horrible wither

Just wait until those tarps become frozen like a rock and try to deal with it in 0 degrees, windy and the ground is a sheet of ice.

    Fun times

Or high winds. Just ball it up, throw a strap on it, and tuck tail and run to the truck stop , hoping the next day is better.
