Mid-West Truckers Assn.....IL o/o's..???

Do any owner/operators on here belong to them, or did at one time? Would like to hear from people who have one or two trucks and are based in Illinois, but anything is fine. I own one truck and live in IL, with only an IL base plate. Looking at going with a P-plate and wondering if going thru Midwest Truckers would be to my advantage or not, far as paperwork goes, drug testing, yada yada. I realize that I will have to either restructure my business plan some, update or get new numbers and change my paperwork style. But I'd like to open a few doors here and there. I do not plan on being out of state a bunch, but at some point the cost of permits eclipses the cost and hassle of having an apportioned plate.

Any input would be appreciated, good or bad.
