Hey, I'm 27, three years otr experience, mostly reefer. I'm looking for a job where I can be home on the weekends if not more often out of, or near Pittsburgh. I'm looking to make roughly 2k a week, before taxes.
Currently with FreyMiller, which is okay, but I hardly get home and I only make .51/mile.
Midwest regional out of Pittsburgh?

If you have haz/tanker, Venezia, Andrews Logistics, KAG, Brenntag, Kuhnle, Freeport Transport all run out of Neville island. With Venezia and Andrews you'll make 1,500-2k a week, not sure about the others.
Lots of flatbed steel down there too, but the only ones I'm familiar with are TMT Steel (Neville island) and Freeport Transport (Freeport, about 15 miles north off route 28).
Freeport transport was my first trucking job, they have a variety of work around the Pittsburgh area, flatbed, Conestoga, van, liquid/bulk tanker and vac work. Not sure what they pay now but their rates were lower when I worked there. They advertise 75+/year but I feel that to be inaccurate. They do have nice trucks though, KW and Peterbilts, all 18 speeds. Bi-weekly pay, home weekends. No real dedicated hauls unless you haul the limestone to AK Steel in Dearborn, which I don't recommend. You'll park at their terminal in Freeport.
Venezia will keep you moving on the oil side. I used to run from Neville Island to Chicago/Cicero quite a bit to the Exxon and Shell plants. Easy work and they pay detention/layover without question. Their equipment isn't terrible, their tankers are fairly well maintained and almost all of them are set up for rear and side unload. Weekly pay, home weekends if you want it. You probably won't run a dedicated route, but you'll run the same few continuously. You can either park at Neville Island or arrange your own parking, they'll pay any parking fees within reason.hotrod1653, Speed_Drums, Eddiec and 3 others Thank this. -
