    I had a Columbia pulling dry van on the east coast with a 14. Was able to squeeze out 9mpg with a 10 speed , 342's and low profile tires running 63. Loads usually where less than 30,000. What kind of mileage are you getting empty?

    I don’t really have any empty miles. But this week I’m out in California and I made it to 6.3 mpg. Still seems low to me though. I’ve only got about 30k lbs on the deck and only ran the cruise control on completely flat stretches of the highway, if it was rolling hills or running around LA I was only using the pedal.

    Yep the winter fuel puts it down .75-1.0

    Down to around 5.8-6.0 right now no matter the weight

    That’s possible I guess. But my Detroit isn’t governed by an ELD, and I’ll take a lower mileage average over having an electronic watchdog in my cab every time
