Would like to have some information on Millis Transport.
Looking for a trucking school and a good company to work for.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I just finished 3 weeks of school in Trenton, OH and 3 day orientation. Small classes Max of 6 we had 4. Lots of seat time with 3 trucks and 4 people. I thought it was great. Cost $500.00 up front and if you quit before a year is up you owe them another $2000.00. All drivers I talked to seemed happy with miles and treatment. All tractors are 3 years old or less, Kenworths and Frieghtliners. A family owned company.
lupe Thanks this. -
I'm going tattend their school in Trenton, OH. I've been all over and haven't seen or heard anything bad
about them. Is this weird, too good to be true, or just great

I just recently started with Millis and have no complaints. Have not heard one bad thing about them from any of their drivers that I have talked to so far.

You need to live East of the Mississippi to drive for Millis. Also, they told me they will not hire people who live in Florida, or on the east coast South of the Carolinas, because of home time requirement..

Have any of you heard anything, good, bad, or indiff, about Millis Trucking? And how is there in-house driving school? Any info will be good. Any info on there home time for drivers and what is the avrage milage a driver gets there would be helpful also.
Thanks -

My husband just started with Millis this year. He went through their 3 week training program and passed his CDL test on first try. (He tried Schneider and only lasted 3 days before going to Millis.) The 5 weeks behind the wheel training he actually got with a "regional" driver. He was home every Friday and left out again on Sunday. He has been on his own since mid April and has been home every weekend. As long as you put in your request upon receipt of your first load of the week they have to honor it. If they don't get you home you get paid per mile for all miles driven after you home date. He has never had that happen and never had a problem with them wondering why he comes home every weekend. He did get a regional route so that may be why they don't have an issue. He drives between Wisconsin, Ohio, Illinois, & Iowa.
