Wanting to know what are some companies in the Minneapolis metro area (southern metro would be my preference) that are hiring either flatbed drivers or hopper drivers (local driving jobs)?

My preference would be flatbed, hopper, or even tanker (chemical). Yes, last time I checked I am still over 25. I have found a good flatbed company up in Rogers which would be about an hour each way for me as I reside south of the river. I have also looked at Wayne Transport as I hear nothing but good things about them but I haven't heard anything back, even after following up several times. I have a perfect driving record-no accidents, tickets, or moving violations. I do find some good postings, the problem I keep running into is that they are either way up in northern Minneapolis or located a good distance from where I am located.

I'm on, part-time, with Bay&Bay Transfer, their bulk division is based in Burnsville in the same yard as the Lehigh Cement silos. We run 3-bay pneumatics, some van loads for bulk products as well as about 5 flatbeds. PM me if you need additional information. I'm pretty sure they are hiring.

I have looked at Bay And Bay and I have heard good things about them. I see their posts on craigslist looking for local help. I've seen a few of them driving around with flatbeds and that does interest me. I called the number on craigslist but haven't heard anything back. Anyone know anything about driver pay out at Wayne Transport? I hear they treat their drivers very well and their trucks are always clean. I believe they may pay on a percentage of load. Does that percentage generally increase with seniority?

Wayne Transports generally does their hiring in the spring. They start you in the asphalt division. You work through the summer doing that then they move those guys into other openings in the fall. At least that's what I was told when I talked with them a couple years ago.
