A bit a over a month ago I graduated from an accredited CDL school in Mobile, AL. I have class A with all the endorsements including hazmat. Been looking for a reputable carrier that pays well for professional drivers. Any recommendations for someone living in South Alabama on the coast?

    Good question.
Plenty of tanker companies hire new grads. These do even if website has "experience required", ignore that because they all do on a case by case basis.
McKenzie Tank Lines in Mobile. One of their trainers lives in Mobile.
    SVTN - terminal in Saraland.
    CTL Transportation
    Tidewater Transit
    Trimac Transportation
    Schneider Bulk

Freymiller is a good refrigerated carrier. Excellent reputation with their drivers. They hire new drivers that are cdl grads or 6 mos. experience; either one, so you're qualified.

May Trucking Company has a terminal in Pensacola, but I'd put Freymiller at the top of the list for refrigerated carriers.

Being a rookie I want to focus on the driving and safely aspect not so much on load securement. So dry-van or reefer is in the cards at least for the first year or two. Chinatown has given me a good start to research these companies, thank you.

    Al. Roper Thanks this.

www.cfidrive.com is ok for dry van.
Abilene Motor Express for dry van.
    Freymiller for refrigerated.
The good money is tankers though.

Maybe check with John Fayard then. They are over in Gulfport I believe. Also there is several van companies in Mobile. None are coming to mind right off the top of my head though.

I was in the Navy with John Fayard's brother; nice guy but he didn't talk about the trucking company.

sorry for bumping an old thread but I figured in case someone stumbled across it I'd add that Fayard also has a yard in Theodore (Mobile).
