Actually, I am not surprised at all. THP does not enforce the law on that mountain anymore. Last week I followed a FedEx up the mountain coming from Chattanooga and he never got under 70 MPH going up in a 55 zone, and going down the other side in a 45 zone, he never got under 60.

I thought it would be Yellow Roadway as they always smoke the brakes going east,

It is,one of the trailers with the new revised paintjob no less. Doesn't take much to lose it on 24 going down Monteagle Mountain. Whenever I go down thru that area I have the jake at full power(level 3) and modulate the brakes accordingly. The only times I've seen THP in the area is went people are flying up the mountain heading northbound towards Nashville.

Its a newer Werner reefer. Looks like he may have been loaded top heavy and may have made erratic lane changes in addition to too fast for conditions

Obviously: The industry is filled with newbies that lack proper training. It's like the blind leading the blind. This driver's career will be compromised for awhile thanks to the corporate push.
