More foreigners on the road

I wish they would make it clear (or not) that those 65k visas were going to be commercial drivers. Since it's not specifically mentioned some people will still deny it's happening in Transportation.

 

Foreign or domestic, on going training needs to happen. This occupation has gotten far too dangerous

 

I disagree. From what I've seen the last few years its an attitude problem and more red tape/training will not fix that. A lot of folks drive as if human life has zero value.

 

Colorado mass murderer was a perfect example.

 

People like that are everywhere. You could put someone through a thousand hours of training and you're not going to stop them from making poor decisions.

There have been times I've pulled up to the fuel island and every single driver around me was a foreigner when I looked. There never use to happen.

Keep in mind next time you're at a fuel island, think about it.

Think about the drivers you see when checking in for a load.
Same thing has happened there too.
It's getting out of control.

If you can get somebody from another country to work for you for half price as Americans you can haul that load for cheaper!

 

You can bet your bottom dollar all the winter accidents for the most part across I 80 in Nebraska, Wyoming, etc. are all caused by a lot of the foreign drivers from Chicago area… And many of them cannot even speak any English and are some belligerent fools too
