    I agree and it took me awhile also but after seeing some tear downs on mobil 1 and having the overhead done on the 07 780 with the d16 ...ya coulda ate off the bottom of the valve cover and top of the head .

    Ya I've seen some pretty clean tear downs too,but oil is cheap and I grease every 4K anyway.
    So as long as I'm there,I can go over everything and drop the oil.
    Overkill perhaps, but I sleep good at night.lol

    First time I've had a seal broke and load securement checked in a reefer. Lvl 1, passed with flying colors.

    Did a little more studying and see Carlton is running new cascadias now .
    And I'll call them this week .
    Mobil is swearing on 3x drain intervals over conventional oil even on emissions engines .
    Did the math and could save money and stay out of the shops at 30k filter pulls and 60k drains .

    Woke up to a beautiful no humidity day in paulsboro NJ just now .
    What was left of that hurricane blew thru here last night .
    I don't have to be back in Iowa till Monday afternoon ....ta he'll with truckin today ! Lol

    Was in Paulsboro on Wednesday. Looks like we'll be passing each other this weekend. Leaving out tomorrow, with a BHJ load going to Vineland. Not sure I have the hrs to make it. Oh well, company says do the best you can.

    Spent part of the day reading up more on extended drains on mobil 1 with my isx and while I had great results with my pre dpf Volvo on 60k drains , based on a long article by rawze I've concluded extended drains on this engine are a chance I'm not willing to take after a spending big bucks on an overhaul .
    So I think ill just stay with dino rottella and 18k drains .
    Gonna be to much soot build up and I'm not dumping 50 doller a gallon oil when I can't run at least 50k drains .
