Morehouse/FCC

Well here's what happened.
I scheduled this overhaul in October and all of a sudden last week nobody knows anything about it and I'm getting dumb looks along with calls not getting returned from brad Morehouse .
This leaves a person wondering WTF is going on !? As the oil consumption goes thru the roof added 4 gallons last week .
So today I got some attention quick when I told a couple people in the office farewell I'm done when I get to Omaha .
Brad called me quik and apparently wasn't getting my messages and after a pleasant conversation everyone's memory is refreshed much to my relief !
Doing 2 regens a day and agreed it's best to get it home and park it before it blows up on the road .
Load in Milwaukee for home tmw morn and go home till the overhaul is done .
Must say I've never seen a engine use this much oil and run so dang good lol.

 

Im not worried about that ...i think Jeremiah can do this in his sleep .
This was a management thing .

 

Brad and I also discussed a 2015 kw 680 and send my cascadia to auction but he also told me I could be in the same boat 2 years from now with a higher truck payment and less earnings due to the softening freight market .
Shippers are already looking for rate reductions on contract freight .
I'll overhaul the truck I have .

 

Yeah I think so too ...im no expert but I have been in this for almost 34 years and wish I knew then what I do now and had access to the info I do now .
I'll admit I got kw fever for about an hour Lol.
Freight anylists are predicting a bloodbath when things go to he'll .
I'll stay conservative as Morehouse is too .
I was worried to see them dumping trucks but they are because the used market is good now for low mileage late model due to a year out for a new truck and nothing in New truck inventory.
Con Agra foods told Morehouse,s offer of level rates for the next year would have been good 2 months ago but not now .
Batten down the hatches is what I'm hearing .
