Got down to minus 2 where I was last night and the truck engine coolant never did get low enough to turn the apu to heat mode ...truck started this morning like it 80 degrees .
Camped out in Illinois tonight and not quite as cold so experimenting with the start stop ..battery monitor settings .

Well its 18 degrees here with no wind in beautiful Ottawa Illinois and have been playing with start / stop settings for a couple hours now on this 2015 carrier pc6022 .
I had to point that out because older units are different in the perimeter settings .
It appears that in cold weather in start /stop mode the most comfortable temp setting is 81 ....these temp settings don't mean squat other than your comfort level .
With the max temp set at 81 the unit will shut off at 82 and restart at 79.
The only hard numbers in the settings are the the battery voltage setting and the ambient temp start settings.
These newer carriers can be set up for start stop but ya gotta play with it a little cause the interior temp settings are very subjective.

With my TK and espar htr, in hest mode, thermostat is set at 60, and I'm sleeping under just a sheet. Think sensor is going bad.

Gps is annoying me. It's telling me that my rt is to long to calculate, and will update as we go along. It's never done that before and has actually done this rt before. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

I keep my TK set at 64 for heat. The actual APU doesn't start unless the heater has been on a long time drawing off the batteries.
