Curious for all the drivers that Have been out there over the years and I suppose it would have a lot to do with what company you work for, but what’s the most high valued load you’ve ever hauled? And what things did they make you do different?

I just got done hauling a bunch of new Toyota engines. Not sure on total value, but I’m guessing $ half a million in the trailer. I was required to check in at every stop, told where to stop and wasn’t allowed to leave the truck unattended. I also had to overnight at a partner’s secured yard, not allowed at a truck stop.

Are there like security companies out there that run security for like high-value pharmaceutical loads and stuff like that? I can’t imagine hauling a refrigerator trailer worth like $200 million. Lol

Trailer full of cigarettes for JB Hunt out of Phillip Morris in Richmond VA in 1999. They told me to run 300 miles non stop after I picked it up. I remember the lady in the shipping office was a defiant smoker.

I've hauled PreTarped loads out of Skunkworks that I am sure are very valuable. Not sure what they were, but they were heavy and wide,

I hauled a load of cigarettes one time .
But the dispatcher nor the bills mentioned anything about what was on the trailer
The bills just mentioned the weight and the item number.

i stopped by my girlfriends house, dropped the trailer in a parking lot and bobtailed to her house for the night.

Went on the the delivery the next day and when I swung the doors open was stunned to see a load of ciggs.
I inquired about the value and they said about $2 million .

Scrap catalytic converters from Nova Scotia to L.A. , value 2.5$ million and weighed 12500 lbs. Just a plastic seal on and I picked the trailer up at a truck stop where the shunter had parked it the day before! The security at the receiver was mental, I didn't dare tell them I think they'd have passed out
