Unfortunately Landstar is really an offshore company now. If you're naive enough to work for them, I recommend learning Ukrainian, because most LS agents are NOT physically located in the United States. Landstar has a huge office building in Ukraine. Many other Landstar agents are in Mexico and the Philippines. Sure, they have U.S. phone numbers, but that's very easy to arrange now. I've talked to several of them and they admit this.
Most Landstar agents are NOT even located in the U.S. any more

The agents doing this are doing nothing more than double brokering off other boards. I dont use these brokers.
And I wouldnt say that "most" Landstar brokers are offshore by any means...Another Canadian driver and Opendeckin Thank this. -

It does cause issues sometimes with addresses because it’s done for speed, not necessarily accuracy. They punch in about 3 letters and hit the first thing that comes up.Another Canadian driver, austinmike, Jubal Early Times and 1 other person Thank this. -

Awhile back somebody started a thread saying Landstarve was in the toilet cause they lost all the Ukrainian agents.
Now this guy is saying there's no American agents.
Could someone that drives for Landstarve PLEASE post a complete list of agents so we have an accurate count???Another Canadian driver, Siinman, bryan21384 and 3 others Thank this. -
Dont know why "Landstar" would have an office building outside the US anyways. The agents dont work for Landstar anymore than I do. Landstar just handles the paperwork. Now, yes, more and more of their paperwork is handled by people working from home now (the office manager at MIN in So St Paul, Mn just "retired", moved to Arizona and is now "working for Landstar" from home - I miss her. Nice lady). But why build a building somewhere when they could do it from their bomb shelter on a laptop?
Another Canadian driver Thanks this.
