Whats most stupid thing you've heard of shipper/consignee say to you?
I was securing a load and shipper said "oh dont tighten your straps too tight cause once you tarp it, tarp will sort of keep load altogether"
I felt like just giving him key so he could go deliver the load.

Had a friend of a friend call me to haul a load of beans once upon a time.
I show up at the planned time to find nobody around.
A grain bin with no unload auger and a trailer load size pile of beans on the far side of the bin.
An old hay and grain elevator at the door of the bin.
And one shovel holding the door open.
The best part was when I got a call from the moron a few days later asking why I hadn't hauled it yet.:laughing3:

You have to scale before you tarp because it will change the weight...

Actually it was a broker that insisted that a Hazmat load of flammable totes had to be tarped. When I mentioned that to the shipper they laughed. "So, he wants to hide the labels AND trap flammable fumes under the tarp!!??:D:D:D"

Oxbow, GWIZ2260, blacklabel and 2 others Thank this.

Showed up at an airport in SD with A load of de-icing fluid in 55 gal barrels and they said, no we don't have a forklift or dock, how do you usually unload them?
