The past couple of decades it's been a fad for a person to say they have American Indian blood. For some reason it gives them some sort of bragging rights.I have zero American Indian blood, so I guess I can brag about that.

Yeah, and remember that on voting day; vote early and often, as the Democrats say!

I have a daughter that's half Cherokee, but she's not the least bit interested in it. She's cool looking; Indian features with natural blonde hair. She's about 5'9" and slim build.

We are from the Knight clan in MS and are supposed to have some Choctaw somewhere in the family line. To me we are what we are and I sure never worried about using Indian to gain anything.

I swear I am a human being...sometimes until I see the rest. But since they say men are from mars I just might be a Martian.

To my knowledge on my father’s side there’s a little bit of Cherokee (great great grandfather broke horses-which runs in line with that side of the family picking dangerous professions).
Nice to know I’m keeping the family tradition alive!LMAO

Native Americans don't really recognize nor participate much in DNA tests from what I hear. You have to have a named ancestor on their scrolls. Like Chinatown says it's cool to claim it now where it wasn't years ago. Ancestry and 23 and me DNA genomes are very general and only identify a broad area of N. and S.American natives and no particuliar tribes. I have a neice who showed 6% Native American because of her father who has Mexican Indian ancestry..but it had no specifics.
