Do not push all the way down on the skinny pedal.
-
Pull lighter loads? Drive on flat ground?
-
How many Mi. are on your air cleaner/s, they may need to be changed?
AModelCat Thanks this. -
Just FYI if you want help, post some useful info. "Cascadia DD15 using too much fuel" is far, far too vague for anybody to give any kind of an answer.
-Previous/current fuel mileage
-Changes to operating environment (ie pulling Rockies vs Prairies).
-Recent modifications or repairs to the truck.
-Load weight/load size changes? Yes, no?
Any of the above is going to help get you a useful answer.mhyn, BigCam9670, jammer910Z and 2 others Thank this. -
Another good one. Pal, let me tell you, people been grumbling about that since Ol' Dobbin went away.

I'd start with a good tune up. Valve set and filters, air, fuel ect. Check air pressure in all your tires make sure they are right full also.
Then check your charge air system for leaks. Boost leaks are a big factor in fuel mileage .
Above all else you the person are in charge of the fuel pedel, tread lightly.jammer910Z Thanks this. -
I’m in Amodelcat’s corner on this one not nearly enough information to even begin to make an intelligent guess.

Things sure have changed, when fuel was .35 cents/gallon, we didn't care how much fuel it used, HAMMER DOWN!!!

Fan running, engine not running at the right temp, about a million other things, that no one has a clue about , going by your thread, and you call someone stupid.
