Yeah, almost as difficult an nailing their hooves to the wooden floor. Place them in enough the body won't lean out past the rub rail in the tight curves.
But, in El Paso, coming East with a lowboy you don't have a lot lot choice. Learned to hose the floor down before trying to pull the nails and unload.

    Ain’t that the truth.
No comparison to the trail blazers from past years.

By way of explanation, I bought the camera in a Laredo hock shop, Argus 35mm. ! st adjustable I'd ever used.
That will explain the poor quality of the pics detail. But here is some for comments/questions.

This is a front face view of the next pic. Wonderful guy- Last name McGarrah, been dead a long time.

Notice same bend upward on this right side tank of sister truck. Nothing wrong or damage by me. I rode up to Ft Wayne with a driver in one of those L190 sleepers to the IH factory. Went in to Fugate and Girton Driveaway and picked up a 3 way hook up of the V8's. (Mr Garrard was a IH truck dealer, Lincoln-Mercury Auto dealer, Dairyman. Farmer, and Fruehauf trailer dealer.) Pulled out and toddled onto Starkville. Arrived and was asked: How you like those trucks? Answered: They are very nice.
He then said, the one on the ground is yours as soon as we can put on a 5th wheel. One year later it had 118,000 on the clock, all but Stk to Natchez by me.
So, all the steps were that way when I left Ft Wayne and same on all 3 trucks, # 33.34 & 35.
