Just tossing ideas around in my head. Yeah REALLY scary & most of the time it gives me a migraine. Is it possible to work for multiple companies if you have their permission & all of their numbers, insurance ect. There is a company that is only 15 minutes away from the house & my brother in law has been running with a company out in Iowa. Say I am working for this one here in Ohio but for a few weeks he has no loads or no back hauls, could I possible grab up some work from the company in Iowa? Or is the proper thing to do, have the Iowa company broker the load to the Ohio Company? Obviously the Ohio company is going to still want some kind of percentage, but even just 5% is better than nothing.

I could be wrong but is that not what these expeditor vans do? I am pretty sure being under 10,000 lbs. numbers or names do not have to appear on the vehicle. My guess is coming from the one and only conversation with a guy at my pickup location. He had one of these big vans and I said I don’t see any numbers on your van. He said he did not have enough room to put all the companies he carried for on his truck. He could have been feeding me a line. No logs, ELD, no physical, no scale, I am guessing low insurance. He had workable situation. Bunk heater, twin size bed. Had 160,000 miles on a one year old truck. So probably lived out of it. If I was 20 years younger I would have considered doing this. He said the money was good.
