I started noticing this oil seepage around the bottom here where the oil line connects to it. Is this a clue the turbo is on its way out or is it maybe just a cold weather leak that need fixed? I started noticing it back around December when the weather got cold. Turbo itself and the exhaust brake seems to be working fine. (I don’t know if that pressurized oil line has anything to do with the VGT or turbo brake function or if it’s strictly for lubricating the center section.) You can see it’s been pissing little droplets onto the frame rail. It’s due to go in for a PM anyway but thought I’d ask if anybody else has seen this one. EPA 2013 engine and I think it an “HE500VG” model Holset turbo they want $8000 for a new one.
