Never knew that...not that I have a chance of working for them. Apart from the expense, what the hell does he do with it when not at work?. If he quits or gets fired, he now has to find a low enough trailer or a rollback tow truck to transport the thing. No way he is getting that in the back of a regular pickup.

He can always hire R&L and have them bring the electric pallet jack to the guy house for a small fee.:D

Yeah, I suppose it would come in handy running the trash cans out to the curb on pickup day.

They make light weight electric Jacks that run on like a 50cc electric motor that are good for 3-5 hours and then revert back to a normal jsck when dead - could easily throw that into a pick up.

He plugs it in and locks it up at night. I'd think you'd just try selling it to another driver if you changed jobs. That'd be a pain, though.

On some of the pallets I encounter with 4 stringers, the brand of your jack will make the difference of whether or not you can move it. For example, a Crown, which IMHO is the best you can buy, has 6” wide forks vs the 7” of a Lift-Rite.

They lock them up. They’ll fit in pickup trucks, but if it doesn’t load from a dock with a leveler that will drop low enough, it will take a forklift.

Yeah, I definitely liked the Crowns best. We got a bunch of new ones when I was in the city and they were like Cadillacs.
