Your other issue was addressed in lines 7-9, again of that same post that you quoted. He says he is in the hole $890 and it had already been reduced to $555, and was expecting to be only $155 in the hole by Friday. He didn't forget it, nor neglect to mention it, because he did indeed discuss it and the plan to return to a positive in short order. Maybe I'm wrong, but it sounds like he is receiving positive settlements while at the same time, working off his negative balances.Last edited: Jul 18, 2016
Reason for edit: I am my own grammar nazi.Lonesome and drvrtech77 Thank this. -

I clearly stated in my earlier post that I was $890 in the hole. Meaning $1780 will be deducted out of this paycheck for my expenses. $1225 was cleared on the load I dropped this morning. So that $1780 is now $555 I loaded today going to SC for $1425 on 600 loaded. I didn't take any fuel. So subtract $245 in maintenance because I did have a long deadhead on it. So if I turn the load in on Wednesday and they pay me on Friday I would get about a $650 check.
I also clearly stated that I just got some new equipment and I was paying $75 a week for it until it is paid for.
It's not about making anything sound good, it's about the facts.Lonesome, drvrtech77 and 88 Alpha Thank this. -
My fixed expenses are only $890 a week could be less if I got rid of my $48.75 a week occupational insurance and and $14.73 a week legal shield that I opt for.
Who are these people your talking about when you say most leases? At Malone I would like someone to speak up if their fixed expenses are over a $1000 a week. Without a promissory note that your paying back, a physical damage claim or any other BS straight expenses from Malone. I think new guys are paying $100 a week for equipment and maybe $400-425 a week for their truck.
I've already told you and everyone else here if you would like to meet on the road and compare settlements then I am more than willing to.
And I absolutely agree. $890 a week is hard to climb out of........if your used to making a lousy $890 a week meaning you couldn't clear your negative in one week. I for one am not.
And I didn't buy tarps our tarps are cheap I won't buy them here. But I will buy a box of straps at $9 a piece. I just replaced all of my beveled lumber, two chains and binders and additionally purchased two extras. Giving me twelve chains and binders I carry. The $8400 saved is for TRUCK maintenance not for equipment. I could've paid it off and not had the expense I chose not too. I did just spend a few grand on vacation, catered my daughters party this weekend for food for 50 people, and preparing for a bigger one in a few months. But since your obviously in my wallet what would you have did? Assuming I didn't have the bumper to bumper maintenance right now. Take the money out of my truck fund and buy the equipment outright. So I can have a breakdown a few weeks later and possibly be short? But I can be screaming HEY I don't have the money to fix my truck but look at those pretty binders I got there. The truck fund won't be touched by anyone or anything until 1. This truck is out of bumper to bumper 2. I quit trucking. 3. I buy a truck outright and I use it for maintenance on it.
Why did you leave pepper? A lot has changed since you left, it changes every day. I'm sure you have seen people fail, and plenty more will.Last edited: Jul 18, 2016

Ok here is what Malone states. Truck325. Trailer 185. Bob tail 30. License and permits 75. Physical damage 35. Sercurment eq 75. Escrow25 2290 10,85. Maint.acc.approx 240 Occ or work 45.50. That is 1046.35 that is there numbers.is there any of these fixed payments you don't make. My understanding of maintenance acc. Is 240 based 2400 miles more miles higher, less mile less money.

Those things are old... Maintenance isn't a fixed cost it's a variable cost.
