Road test and one day orientation tomorrow morning 0730 --a two hour commute for me. Will be doing Cambridge to Montreal, produce run, mainly switch and go. Let's see how it goes. Surprised my former boss gave me a sparkling reference--no reason why he shouldn't--just surprised. Adios.

    Hope it works out well.

Couldn't pay me enough to drive that stretch everyday. :)

That stretch shouldn't be too bad once you get past the airport heading east. Mind you, I haven't been east of 35/115 in a LONG time so things could have changed by now.

It's not that bad now, maybe I just know how to navigate it better than when I started. Back in 2018/19 was always backups--not so much now.

You better do that run paid by the hour, but I'm betting they're stiffing you with a flat-rate/cpm. Any incident on the roads, shipper screwups, weather, etc and yer camping out. Winter? forget it. Late Spring into Fall, ok maybe. Get them to pay you for layovers, or hourly after 1st hour while OOS.

I wouldn’t want to do that run in the winter months . I can remember about two years ago having to take a load from Mississauga to our head terminal in Prescott and it being a nightmare.3 foot high snow drifts in the yard then having to bobtail on the 401 to P&G in brockville.Snow was so thick like you were in heavy fog and rear of the truck sliding all over the place .Do that crap every day no thanks

Hopefully the hours are open and you can choose when you want to go. I think sticking to nights would be when I’d want.

Unless you're paid by the hour you must be desperate.
