My Detroit s60 12.7 is very loud first 50-100 miles? After that not so much?

What causes engine to be loud like that:

after an hour/two of driving is not that loud anymore:

what do you think about it?

no exaust leak, valve adjustment is done.

Turbo boost is 32-35. No boost leaks.

Is there any loss of power? Or does engine run normally other than being loud?

Exhaust valves? Wrong timing? I am running out of ideas!

Yes, I think so. Even boost is good on higher gears is kind of lazy. On lower gears seems fine.

When you're 1st describing it being loud it makes me want to think before it warms up, however you're stating 50 to 100 miles which is an hour to an hour and a 1/2. I would say start with your exhaust manifold, make sure there are no leaks around the manifold. I know you said there were no exhaust leaks but double check everything.

That sounds like a big difference. Mine always sounds louder when first started. Spark knock especially, like the pistons are slapping, till it warms up. Look for black soot, on the whole exhaust. It could be the muffler(s)
