After being run off the road, Safety Department misrepresented dashcam footage to law enforcement and refused to acknowledge the discrepancy and then lied about it. When Chris Holland (president of Holland Enterprises) was made aware of this, he basically replied, "#### OFF!"

My wife was on 3 way call with me with another one of her friends when I made the call to Chris Holland. Her friend hung up and my wife stayed on the line and listened in... she was shocked at the unethical and unprofessionalism displayed by a president of a company.

Holland claims to have an open door policy, but that door is a one way opening. Karla Bancroft (safety supervisor) runs HER safety department according to her opinion and not based on facts.

Drivers are talked down to and management is very condescending. Dispatchers are nice and easy to deal with. When an unethical company president cusses at an employee, it is unprofessional and inappropriate behavior, potentially creating a hostile work environment, and could be grounds for the employee to report the issue to HR. But when human resources is also a Holland handling driver complaints and providing solutions, it becomes a corrupt situation.

Ok…. How did they “misrepresent” the dash cam footage?

HR’s job is to protect the company from lawsuits. They are not a protector of employees, who the company labels “human resources.”

I’ve heard people are nice at Holland, but the true character of a person/organization is based off their actions.

Any one-day-of-home-time-for-every-week-worked, OTR outfit that doesn’t ensure drivers get $2200.00 a week are exploiting said drivers. The new $100,000.00 a year is $135,000.00 a year, adjusted for inflation. OTR positions are worth that as a starting point.

You’re literally sacrificing your ability to have a normal life while those 9-5 office personnel have good pay and a work life balance.

Even though Holland has a pretty good reputation, they’re still guilty of exploiting drivers. .55 cents a mile and $15.00 an hour for detention in 2024 is extremely low.

It shouldn’t surprise you that Chris Holland blew his lid and cursed, because that’s what’s behind the mask of every exploiter of their fellow man.

Some people are exhilarated by the OTR lifestyle, and will naturally love a place like Holland Enterprises. Unfortunately those people are an extreme minority among those driving OTR, and that sector as a whole is taking advantage of those that drive long haul.

Hope you moved onto something good for yourself.

So I've arrived for orientation. One interesting thing here that I haven't seen from other OTR companies is that their Fargo terminal literally have motel-style rooms on the second floor?! That's where I'm staying. Apparently drivers can also use it when needed. They also mentioned they have snacks and sandwiches that I can grab for free in the lounge if I'm hungry. Plus their lounge looks much nicer than my last company's. They take good care of their amenities. PXL_20241111_065548985.jpg PXL_20241111_070853316.jpg PXL_20241111_070905809.MP.jpg

I live about 3/4 of a mile from there. They really do take care of the drivers. Hagges has some decent food next door if you want to venture over there.

    Enjoy your stay in Mapleton.

    The facilities there are nice.

mean while I guess you could say I’m getting a “crash course” (pun intended?) in the accident procedures myself after some ###### Tyson driver busted my drivers side mirror off when they decided to fly out of their parking spot next to me. And that was one of those spots that could be pulled out of going straight. Apparently those spots aren’t enough to keep me from getting hit by morons now.

Oh my god, that happened to me two months ago! Guy was pulling out while making a turn and tail swing my mirror and side. At least he did stop and take responsibility

I had sent in the footage from my garmin dashcam to the investigating officer and to Holland safety department for reference. When the officer asked holland for holland's footage from their dashcam, they sent in mine instead. The footage from my dashcam did not show the entire incident which shows the other driver finger pointing mimicking a hand gun, gesturing me to pull over and brake checking me forcome into the other lane.

instead, holland sent in mine and they kept insisting that they didn't have any other footage. After speaking with the officer he told me that the video I sent in and the video holland sent in was the exact same video. I sent emails to the president (Chris Holland) twice trying to get this resolved. Chris Holland insisted he had no other video. After 4 days of wondering where the actual footage was, the investigating officer called and said he finally received the footage from Hollad.

Holland presented me a notice from the officer that stated the officer did receive the footage from Holland, but it was regarding my video and the letter was dayed 4 days prior to receiving the actual video.

The officer said that he did see hand gestures from the video Holland finally sent, but Chris Holland said he didn't see any hand gestures. The point of showing the complete video is to reveal other threatening gestures for possibly additional charges.

When Chris Holland was confronted with these issues, he got defensive and said f&$k off.

This one I think came back into the lot, circled around and I tried to wave him down, then he took off fast again. After I got done bandaging up the wounded mirror and got fuel I went & made my delivery. Got word after I left that they caught the incident on the dashcam and were getting to work on it. I’m hoping they got the info to the cops.
